A test is conducted to measure leakage on the Base Cap, which is welded at the bottom of the Base Shell. If oil or gas inside the shock absorber leaks, it hampers the ability to stabilize the bouncing of the springs. This test is performed during the manufacturing process and covers the entire stock.
